Sonnet Sundays: A State of Phobia

What’s the difference between right and wrong
That’s the reason so many write a song
Spewing your venom with the words you say
To hurt a person any time of day
The choice is theirs to make and theirs alone
So, join the bash wagon, you carbon clone
Rivers of tears shed by the mourning one
Are you that damn tough by what you’ve done
A closet closed mind is easy to keep
Protect the people, the little white sheep
Never understanding just what is right
Freedom of expression will have the might
It shouldn’t matter if they’re gay or straight
Bi or trans, why do they deserve your hate
Who the hell cares if they’re a garden gnome
Just worry about what lies in your home
We should be celebrating what’s unique
Because who the hell are you to critique
