 Greetings and salutations, everyone,

It’s Kirk coming to you from the hospital bed of love, and I thought, maybe it would be nice if I let everyone get to know me a little better. With me finally revealing my face, I don’t have a lot of what I like out there; you don’t know the nut behind the art. So, I figured I’d create a series of my Top Five things I like. So, without further ado, God bless you, here are a couple of my Top Five. If you would like to know more or have a request, please leave a comment.

Top Five Candies:

1.      Milky Way: They were my maternal grandmother’s favorite.

2.      Black licorice: I know it’s odd, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

3.      Cadbury chocolate: I'm a huge fan of Cadbury products. Especially with almonds or caramel.

4.      M&M’s: They remind me of my paternal grandparents. Classic Plain and Peanut, mainly, but I also love other options.

5.      Chocolate-covered almonds: Oh, if they’re at a movie theater, this is a must. I utterly adore them.

Top Five Bands I write to:

1.      L.A. Guns! Oh, I love these guys. I’ve seen them twice and have met them both times. I’m going to see them again in September, and I'm meeting them again. Their music speaks to me and relaxes me when I write.

2.      Gene Loves Jezebel: What can I say about this band? I’ve seen them twice, and I've met both brothers. Michael was a lot nicer to me than Jay, so he holds a special place in my heart. Fun fact: Johnny Martin, who is the current bassist for GLJ, is also the bassist for L.A. Guns.

3.      HIM: The Finnish love metal band; I find them soothing and love their version of "Wicked Game." I love a lot of gothic music, and this is right up there.

4.      The Bauhaus/Peter Murphy: as well as Siouxie, who could have been placed here as well, help put me in the right place to write.

5.      The 69 Eyes: While the Sisters of Mercy could have been here too, I love Jyrki 69’s deep voice. I feel comfortable with a lower octave and happily sing along with him.

I’ll leave with just the two. I have plenty more to cover, and I hope this makes you feel more connected to me and the inner workings of my mind. Until next time, take care and God bless!
