See the lonely teddy bear sitting on the lawn
Covered in glistening dew right before the dawn
Loved only by a special little girl
Who used to have golden locks and a large front curl
During the night, the chemo only makes her ill
All the ruckus he made, and is sitting there still
At times, this regal guy is a heroic knight
Defending the fair princess with all of his might
Sometimes they’re both a couple of trained super spies
While on other days, the world’s greatest private eyes
They can terrorize the seas on their pirate ship
Or conduct an expedition on some space trip
Judging her on her performance as a dancer
These best friends are waging a war against cancer
Their adventures are her sole means by which to cope
He’s the one who gives her a single shred of hope
She returns for that scary night is over now
A look of pure love comes racing across her brow
Comfort wraps up her heart when she feels his soft touch
Funny how the smallest things matter so much
Now it doesn’t matter when people start to stare
As long as she has her cuddly teddy bear
